Air India Pune-bound flight from Delhi suffered a hen hit on Friday, forcing the airline to cancel its return journey.
The plane landed safely and the hen hit was detected after it touched down in Pune, the airline mentioned in an announcement.
It has been grounded and in depth checks are being carried out by the engineering staff, Air India mentioned.
“Flight AI2470 scheduled to function from Pune to Delhi on June 20 has been cancelled on account of a bird-hit which was detected after the incoming flight landed safely in Pune,” it mentioned.
The airline additionally mentioned it’s making all preparations, together with offering lodging for the stranded passengers.
Refunds on cancellation or complimentary rescheduling can be being supplied to passengers who go for it, the airline mentioned, including that various preparations are being made to fly the passengers to Delhi.
