New Delhi: Denied an Meeting ticket by the Bharatiya Janata Get together, former Karnataka deputy chief minister Laxman Savadi joined the Congress on Friday.

On 12 April, Savadi had resigned as Legislative Council member and from the BJP’s main membership after the occasion reportedly requested him to make manner for newcomers. He didn’t get a ticket from the Athani constituency, from the place he was elected thrice earlier than.

I’m a self-respecting politician. I’m not performing beneath the affect of anybody.”

The BJP this week launched two lists – of 189 and 23 candidates – for the 224-seat Karnataka Meeting that goes to polls on 10 Could. The votes might be counted on 13 Could.

Later within the day, former Congress chief minister Siddaramaiah stated Savadi could be given a ticket from the Athani constituency and hoped he would return to the Meeting. The occasion chief stated the one situation Savadi had made was that he must be handled correctly – “with all respect”.

Congress state chief D.Ok. Shivakuamr stated Savadi could be “unconditionally” accepted within the occasion. “He was a really senior chief of the BJP… He feels he has been humiliated. There are 9 to 10 sitting MLAs who need to be part of us, however we don’t have house to accommodate them.”
