In a blistering editorial on the weekend, the newspaper’s board urged voters to not vote for the Donald Trump loyalist. The title of the article couldn’t have been clearer: “Endorsement: Please, don’t give your vote to Lauren Boebert.”
“We beg voters in western and southern Colorado to not give Rep. Lauren Boebert their vote,” the editorial started.
Boebert “has spent her time and efforts contributing to the poisonous political atmosphere on this nation,” the board wrote. And as a substitute of discussing points related to Coloradans, she simply “slings mud,” it added.
The board known as out Boebert’s “informal but crass cruelty, which she places on show each day whereas in Washington, D.C.”
Final week, Boebert’s GOP main challenger took the bizarre step of endorsing her Democratic rival Adam Frisch, a former member of the Aspen Metropolis Council.
“We grieve that that is who represents our nice state in Congress – a state identified for our reasonable positions and our policy-first strategy to politics,” the newspaper mentioned. “Rejecting all Boebert has come to characterize – indignant rants with out providing actual options — is necessary for the third Congressional District, Colorado and this nice nation.”
