Willow, a feminine Rocky Mountain goat, died all of a sudden Wednesday on the Denver Zoo.
We’re unhappy to announce that Willow, considered one of our feminine Rocky Mountain goats, handed away on the night of March 22 after our animal care and well being groups discovered her experiencing a medical emergency. pic.twitter.com/kK2806xXLF

Animal care and well being group members discovered Willow “experiencing a medical emergency” whereas she was miscarrying and he or she later died regardless of an hours-long effort to avoid wasting her, the zoo mentioned on Twitter.
Willow, and two different mountain goats among the many zoo’s band, had been born in 2019 in Tacoma, Wash., in response to the zoo. The trio from Washington was “rescued after being declared ‘nuisance’ wildlife on account of human-wildlife battle within the space.”
The goats had been moved to the Denver Zoo in 2020 and “shortly grew to become beloved members of our animal household.”
Willow’s zoo care group described her as feisty, curious and exquisite.
“There will likely be one much less pair of eyes inquisitively watching over the Zoo from the highest of Goat Mountain and Willow will likely be dearly missed by friends, employees and volunteers.”
