Deutsche Bank names head of semiconductor sector within TMT group

Oct 18 (Reuters) – Deutsche Financial institution (DBKGn.DE) has employed Robert Lee as managing director and head of the semiconductor sector inside its know-how, media & telecom (TMT) group within the Americas, in response to an inner memo seen by Reuters on Tuesday.

The memo, the contents of which have been confirmed by a Deutsche Financial institution spokesperson, stated Lee comes with over 20 years of expertise within the know-how {hardware} business, and has executed offers throughout banking merchandise together with M&A and preliminary public choices.

The hiring comes at a turbulent time for the U.S. M&A market that has suffered from dampened investor sentiment, significantly for tech firms, amid geopolitical turmoil, rising rates of interest and fears of a recession.

Lee, who will likely be based mostly in San Francisco, joins Deutsche Financial institution from BMO Capital Markets (BMO.TO) and has beforehand additionally labored inside tech funding banking at RBC Capital Markets (RY.TO) and Jefferies & Firm.
