Dharmasthala ‘secret burials’: Minister G Parameshwara says no SIT member has sought to be excluded from probe | Bangalore News

Amid rumours that an IPS officer assigned to the Particular Investigation Crew (SIT) probing the Dharmasthala secret burials case has sought to be excluded from the staff, Karnataka Residence Minister G Parameshwara mentioned Monday that such claims had been removed from the reality.

Responding to a query on whether or not any members of the SIT have opted to not be within the staff citing private causes, he mentioned, “I’m not conscious of it. They’re senior officers in accountable positions.”

On Saturday, the Karnataka Authorities shaped the SIT below Pronab Mohanty, Director Common of Police, Inside Safety Division. Apart from him, M N Anucheth, Deputy Inspector Common of Police (Recruitment), and IPS officers Soumyalatha S Ok and Jitendra Kumar Dayama are a part of the probe staff.

None of them has both approached the federal government or the Residence Division saying that they won’t be a part of the SIT. “I don’t know why the media is saying that,” the minister mentioned.

As per the allegations by a former sanitation employee, he buried dozens of unidentified our bodies in Dakshina Kannada district’s Dharmasthala between 1998 and 2014. The police mentioned the complainant has agreed to find the burial spots if safety is supplied to him and his household.

On feedback by BJP Parliamentary Board member B S Yediyurappa and MP B Y Raghavendra towards investigating the allegations, Parameshwara mentioned, “Who demanded an investigation? Many individuals from the area, together with progressive thinkers and others, have sought it. A criticism was additionally filed (by a whistleblower) about it.”

“We must always know whether or not it (the alleged sexual assaults and murders) passed off or not. If we drag this alongside, then it gained’t be proper in line with the legislation both. Due to this fact, we’ve sought an investigation. I don’t know what’s going to come out of it,” he mentioned.

If the investigation fails to uncover one thing, then as Yediyurappa mentioned, we will inform that there was no wrongdoing to most people, Parameshwara added
