Diwali bonanza: Haryana hikes DA for govt employees this festive season. Check details

The Haryana authorities on Tuesday elevated the dearness allowance for presidency workers by 4 per cent (from 34 to 38). The hike which got here amid the continued festive season shall be relevant from July 1, 2022, based on a authorities notification.

The hike within the dearness allowance shall be relevant for workers drawing their salaries as per the seventh Pay Fee construction.

The Haryana authorities, in a launch, mentioned the elevated DA shall be paid to the staff with the pay of October 2022, and arrears for the July-September interval shall be paid in November.

In September, the Centre had raised the dearness allowance of presidency workers and pensioners by 4 per cent. With this, the dearness allowance would go as much as 38 per cent, Union minister Anurag Thakur had introduced.

Dearness allowance is the part of the month-to-month wage of central authorities workers, which is paid to compensate for the rise in value of residing as a consequence of compensation.

The Centre often implements the DA hikes in January and July 1, however declares in March and September.

Earlier, the Uttar Pradesh authorities had hiked the dearness allowance of state authorities workers by 4 per cent to 38 per cent forward of Diwali.

Chief minister Yogi Adityanath had introduced on Twitter, “The Uttar Pradesh authorities has determined to extend the dearness allowance and dearness reduction for all state authorities workers and pensions to 38 per cent with impact from July 1, 2022. The federal government has additionally determined to pay a bonus of ₹6,908 to all workers for monetary 12 months 2021-22. Congratulations to all”.
