Do not conduct programmes under our banner, CFI appeals to students after PFI ban

A day after the Union House Ministry banned Well-liked Entrance of India and its affiliated organisation Campus Entrance of India (CFI) below Illegal Actions (Prevention) Act (UAPA), the CFI in an announcement requested its activists to not maintain any occasion or programmes below the organisation banner.

CFI, which is a pupil wing of PFI, Wednesday referred to as the ban undemocratic and stated it could problem it in court docket. In an announcement CFI stated, “We request to all the scholars who had related to the organisation beforehand, to not conduct any programme or exercise within the identify of the organisation. We aren’t liable for utilizing the identify or banner of the organisation for any programme or exercise or social media posts and feedback.”

Criticising the Centre’s ban on CFI, the organisation stated, “Campus Entrance of India has been working for over a decade amongst college students throughout the nation with a imaginative and prescient of constructing socially involved and accountable youths with a secular and democratic spirit. We’ve got succeeded in attaining it to an extent.”

It added, “Many educated youths, who have been a part of the organisation, have now been lively within the varied spheres of social actions. CFI has maintained constitutional and democratic values and never promoted actions towards our regulation. Therefore, as an organisation that, in accordance with the regulation, concedes the ban order by the MHA and can be stopping all actions of the organisation in India with rapid impact. On the similar time, we reject all of the allegations towards the Campus Entrance in reference to PFI as baseless and fabricated. It is going to be challenged in court docket after dialogue with authorized consultants by the involved individuals.”
