Trump’s marketing campaign spokesperson, Steven Cheung, launched a press release following the leaks: “These paperwork have been obtained illegally from international sources hostile to america, meant to intrude with the 2024 election and sow chaos all through our democratic course of.”
“On Friday, a brand new report from Microsoft discovered that Iranian hackers broke into the account of a ‘excessive rating official’ on the US presidential marketing campaign in June 2024, which coincides with the shut timing of President Trump’s choice of a vice presidential nominee.”
Cheung declined to state if the marketing campaign had been in touch with Microsoft or regulation enforcement concerning the hack.
The identification of the official who was focused within the marketing campaign was not recognized.
