An inmate died final week on the Downtown Detention Middle in Denver, and an investigation is underway.
At about 10:45 p.m. Oct. 12, deputies discovered a person described as “unresponsive” in a housing unit, a Tuesday information launch mentioned.
A medical emergency workforce was summoned to the world, and the person was pronounced useless on the scene. The Denver Police Division, per protocol with any custodial demise, is investigating the incident.
The Denver Workplace of the Medical Examiner will launch the inmate’s id and the reason for his demise.
