A person who killed dozens by driving his automobile into individuals exercising outdoors a stadium in southern China has been executed, state media reported.
Fan Weiqiu, 62, killed not less than 35 individuals and injured greater than dozens on 11 November after he ploughed his automobile onto an train monitor in Zhuhai, in what’s considered the deadliest assault on Chinese language soil for a decade.
The rampage was sparked by Fan’s “dissatisfaction” over how his property had been divided following his divorce, the courtroom heard.
His execution on Monday comes lower than a month after a courtroom sentenced him to loss of life.
Fan was discovered responsible of “endangering public security”, with the courtroom describing his motive as “extraordinarily vile” and “the strategies” used “significantly merciless”.
