
Authorities at a nationwide protect in southern Colorado are trying to find a person suspected of poaching an elk final month.
The elk was killed on Sept. 9 or 10 within the Hudson drainage space, north of the Medano Cross car parking zone, in keeping with Nice Sand Dunes Nationwide Park and Protect employees. The world is on the east facet of the nationwide protect.
Nationwide Park Service officers are trying to find a 6-foot white man with brown hair and a close-trimmed beard. He was carrying camouflage, a baseball cap and a backpack, and should have carried a compound bow with brilliant fletching and two elk antlers, federal officers mentioned.
The person is believed to have been driving a dark-colored Ram pickup truck, in keeping with the park service.
