Elon Musk is not the world’s richest particular person. The Twitter proprietor has been dethroned because the No.1 on the wealthy record by Louis Vuitton boss Bernard Arnault. Based on the lists by Forbes and Bloomberg, the Tesla CEO is now positioned second after holding the numero uno place since September 2021.

Based on the Bloomberg Billionaires Record, Musk’s complete internet price stands at $164 billion ( ₹13.55 lakh crore) as in comparison with Arnault’s wealth of $171 billion ( ₹14.12 lakh crore). India’s richest tycoon Gautam Adani is positioned third at $125 billion ( ₹10.32 lakh crore).

Musk’s relegation to the second spot is being linked to the drop in Tesla’s shares on Tuesday. The EV maker’s shares dropped by 6.5 per cent to $156.91 in New York, placing its market cap to under $500 billion, Bloomberg reported.

Musk has invested closely in social media platform Twitter, for which he paid $44 billion. Underneath him, the microblogging large has undergone a whole overhaul, introducing new options together with a paid Twitter Blue subscription service.

Based on a report by Insider Intelligence accessed by Reuters, Twitter will witness an exodus of customers because of adjustments made by Musk and flat income development for the subsequent two years. The report says that the social media platform will lose extra customers within the US than any of the international locations, including that month-to-month customers will fall to 50.5 million in 2024, the bottom degree since 2014.

“Customers will begin to depart the platform subsequent yr as they develop annoyed with technical points and the proliferation of hateful or different unsavoury content material,” mentioned Jasmine Enberg, principal analyst at Insider Intelligence.
