A small wildfire possible sparked by lightning is burning simply off of U.S. 6 close to Lookout Mountain west of Golden, based on the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Workplace.
The Goltra hearth was reported late Tuesday afternoon, about an hour after lightning moved by the world, sheriff’s officers mentioned in a put up on X.
Smoke may be seen rising from the mountainous space close to the primary tunnel for U.S. 6 by Clear Creek Canyon.
The fireplace is roughly 5 to 7 acres and crawling alongside the bottom, sheriff’s officers mentioned simply earlier than 6:30 p.m. No constructions are threatened by the hearth, and crews are preventing the hearth from the bottom.
