Evergreen Fireplace/Rescue firefighters rescued a yak trapped in a frozen pond in Evergreen Memorial Park on Wednesday afternoon.
Two firefighters waded in to the icy water to open a path to shore for the yak, whereas others waited for her on land. The firefighters freed the yak from the ice utilizing what seems to be a chainsaw in a Fb video posted by Evergreen Fireplace/Rescue. The yak made it again to her herd and no accidents had been reported, in response to the publish.
The three-year-old feminine yak was initially misidentified as a bison, a follow-up Fb publish said.
The yak is a part of a privately owned herd, in response to Evergreen Fireplace/Rescue.
