PONCE INLET, Fla. (AP) — A shark bit a Florida teen on the leg throughout a lifeguard coaching camp Monday morning, officers mentioned.
The assault occurred close to the Ponce Inlet lifeguard tower shortly earlier than midday, Volusia County Seaside Security officers mentioned.
The 14-year-old boy had been training water entries when he landed on a shark.
The teenager’s accidents weren’t thought of life-threatening, officers mentioned.
He was taken by his mother and father to get stitches.
Monday’s assault comes simply days after two separate chunk incidents in close by New Smyrna Seaside.
A 26-year-old man was bitten on the foot whereas floating in an innertube Friday, and a 21-year-old man was bitten Thursday whereas taking part in soccer in shallow water.
