Former Chinese language President Jiang Zemin died on Wednesday on the age of 96 of leukaemia and a number of organ failure, Chinese language state media reported.
Jiang died at 12:13 p.m. (0413 GMT) in his dwelling metropolis of Shanghai, the official Xinhua information company mentioned, publishing a letter to the Chinese language folks by the ruling Communist Social gathering, parliament, Cupboard and the army saying the demise.

“Comrade Jiang Zemin’s demise is an incalculable loss to our Social gathering and our army and our folks of all ethnic teams,” the letter learn, saying the announcement was made with “profound grief”.
It described “our beloved Comrade Jiang Zemin” as an excellent chief of excessive status, an important Marxist, statesman, army strategist and diplomat and a long-tested communist fighter.
