The US Director of Nationwide Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, was questioned over what Democrats understand as a discrepancy between White Home and intelligence group claims on Iran’s nuclear enrichment capabilities.
She wrote in her pre-written opening assertion to the Senate Intelligence Committee; ‘On account of Operation Midnight Hammer, Iran’s nuclear enrichment program was obliterated. There was no efforts since then to attempt to rebuild their enrichment functionality.’
However in her oral assertion she stated, ‘previous to Operation Epic Fury, the IC assesses Iran was attempting to recuperate from the extreme injury to its nuclear infrastructure sustained through the 12 Day Struggle and continued to refuse to adjust to its nuclear obligations with the IAEA, refusing them entry to key amenities.’
When pressed by Democratic senators, she stated that she modified her assertion to avoid wasting time.
