Gisèle Pelicot has informed BBC Newsnight’s Victoria Derbyshire that her energy comes from her “DNA”.
Ms Pelicot was on the centre of the most important rape trial in French historical past. For nearly a decade, she had been drugged unconscious by her husband Dominique Pelicot and raped by dozens of males he had recruited on web chat rooms.
She made the outstanding choice to let the world know who she was, waiving her authorized proper to anonymity, earlier than the trial started.
On this interview, she reveals she discovered it “inconceivable” that the person she shared her life with “may have dedicated these horrors” and the way she is now rebuilding her life.
