Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal on Monday tabled the Jan Vishwas (Modification of Provisions) Invoice, 2025 that proposes the decriminalisation of 288 provisions regarding minor offences with a purpose to make doing enterprise simpler.
The Commerce and Business Ministry stated the 2025 Invoice builds on the Jan Vishwas Act of 2023 which decriminalized 183 provisions.

The federal government stated the proposals contain elimination of imprisonment clauses for minor, technical or procedural defaults and have been changed with financial penalties or warnings.
