The Bengaluru police have booked a fast commerce platform’s supply agent for allegedly assaulting a buyer following a dispute over an incorrectly up to date supply handle.
The grievance was filed by Shashank S, a resident of Judges Colony in Basaveshwar Nagar. The accused has been recognized as Vishnuvardhan, a supply government for Zepto.
In line with the FIR, the incident occurred on Could 21 afternoon, when Shashank’s spouse’s sister positioned a grocery order by way of the app. Vishnuvardhan was assigned to ship the objects. When he arrived, the sister-in-law stepped out to gather the order, as per the grievance.
Shashank alleged that the supply agent started shouting at her over the handle subject. “He yelled at my sister-in-law, and after I intervened, he abused and punched me within the face, injuring my left eye,” Shashank said in his grievance.
Regardless of Shashank’s makes an attempt to stroll away, the supply agent allegedly continued his aggressive behaviour. Following the incident, Shashank visited a watch hospital for therapy earlier than approaching the police.
Shashank, within the video, stated, “I needed to endure a CT scan and several other assessments on the hospital. After the analysis, the physician knowledgeable me that there was a fracture of the bone beneath my eye. If it doesn’t heal inside every week, I should endure surgical procedure.”
Vishnuvardhan has been booked underneath sections 115(2) (inflicting damage), 126(2) (wrongful restraint), 351(2) (legal intimidation), and 352 (intentional insult to impress breach of peace) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
