India collected Items and Companies Tax (GST) value ₹1.51 lakh crore within the month of October, the federal government stated in an announcement on Tuesday. Out of those, the central items and providers tax or CGST collected was ₹26,039 crore whereas the state items and providers tax (SGST) ₹33,396 crore.
Based on the federal government assertion, the IGST assortment stood at ₹81,778 crore which incorporates ₹37,297 crore collected on imported items whereas the cess assortment stood at ₹10,505 crore.
The federal government stated GST income for October 2022 is the second highest month-to-month assortment after April. It’s for the second time when the gross GST assortment crossed ₹1.50 lakh crore mark.
