Sonepat police have arrested a contractual worker of the block training workplace for allegedly demanding sexual favours from a girl in lieu of offering her daughter admission in a non-public college underneath the Proper to Schooling (RTE) Act.
In her criticism to the police, the girl mentioned the accused, Naveen, who was posted on deputation on the Sonepat block training workplace, had initially demanded ₹30,000 for her daughter’s admission in a reputed college. “Once I informed him that I can not pay such an enormous quantity, he demanded sexual favours. He mentioned I should go to him for four-five hours on any day each month,” she added.
The girl recorded the complete dialog and handed it over to the Sonepat police following which Naveen was booked underneath Part 354-A (sexual harassment) of the Indian Penal Code. He was arrested on Tuesday night and later launched on bail.
On Wednesday, one other girl had additionally come earlier than the media and said that the accused had sought comparable favours from her however she ensured her ward’s admission by different sources and distanced herself from the accused.
Sonepat block training officer Manju mentioned a departmental inquiry has been initiated towards the accused and training minister Kanwar Pal Gurjar has directed for the termination of his service.
