The Delhi excessive courtroom on Tuesday denied the bail plea of activist and former Jawaharlal Nehru College (JNU) pupil chief Umar Khalid, who’s in custody in a bigger conspiracy case of the Northeast Delhi riots.
A particular division bench of justices Sidharth Mridul and Rajanish Bhatnagar pronounced the order on the bail plea of the activist. The order was reserved on September 9.
“We don’t discover any deserves within the bail enchantment, the bail enchantment is dismissed,” the bench mentioned.
Khalid is an accused in a bigger Conspiracy associated to the Northeast Delhi riots of February 2020. He was booked beneath the stringent anti-terror regulation UAPA. He was arrested on September 13, 2020. He has been in custody since then.

The previous JNU pupil chief had challenged the trial courtroom order of March 24, 2020, denying him bail within the case.
