IIT alumni group to launch ‘FACT’ to mentor students, parents | Latest News India

The initiative, ‘FACT’, shall be launched by Akhil Bharatiya Prathibha Utthan Abhiyan (ABPUA), a society established by alumni and schools of various IITs, on June 15.

In a press release issued by Shashank Chaturvedi, secretary, ABPU, and an IIT BHU alumnus, stated that this platform will allow varied types of mentoring, together with peer-to-peer, senior-to-junior, faculty-to-student, faculty-to-parent, and even neighborhood mentoring. “Recognising the important junctures in college students’ academic journeys the place they usually face the daunting job of selecting essentially the most appropriate path, FACT goals to make sure that no scholar is left behind attributable to a dearth of information or correct steering,” he stated.

Explaining the target behind the initiative, he stated that it’s to empower each little one to achieve their envisioned profession objectives in order that they will contribute their utmost to India’s bold aspiration of turning into a $40 Trillion economic system by 2047.

Within the first yr of its operation, FACT is onboarding all IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs in India. “Because the initiative will acquire momentum, we’ll onboard colleges, faculties, and universities throughout India. Over the following 2-3 years, we’ll lengthen the mentoring ecosystem to incorporate NEET, CUET, CLAT, UPSC and all disciplines conceivable.
