A month after the disengagement on the Gogra-Scorching Springs (PP-15), India and China held their twenty fifth assembly of the Working Mechanism for Session & Coordination on India-China Border Affairs (WMCC) on Friday.
An official assertion by the Ministry of Exterior Affairs stated: “The 2 sides reviewed the state of affairs alongside the Line of Precise Management (LAC) within the Western Sector of India-China border areas. Recalling the developments for the reason that final assembly of WMCC in Might 2022, they welcomed the disengagement within the space of Gogra-Scorching Springs (PP-15) that was carried out in a phased, coordinated and verified method between 8-12 September 2022…”
It stated the 2 sides agreed to proceed discussions by way of diplomatic and army channels to resolve the remaining points alongside the LAC on the earliest in order to create situations for restoration of normalcy in bilateral relations.
