The federal government is engaged on a method to make sure that not a single drop of water flows from India into Pakistan, Jal Shakti Minister C R Paatil asserted on Friday following a high-level assembly chaired by House Minister Amit Shah.
Paatil instructed the PTI that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has issued a slew of directives, and the assembly was held to comply with up on them and Shah made a number of recommendations on the assembly for his or her efficient implementation.
“We are going to make sure that not a single drop of water flows into Pakistan from India,” he stated. Shah held the assembly to debate the longer term plan of action following India’s resolution to maintain in abeyance the Indus Waters Treaty of 1960 with Pakistan after Tuesday’s Pahalgam terror assault through which 26 folks had been killed.
Paatil later posted on X, “The Modi authorities’s historic resolution on the Indus Waters Treaty is lawful and in nationwide curiosity. We are going to make sure that not a single drop of Indus water flows into Pakistan.” Sources stated the federal government is engaged on a long-term plan to make sure the efficient implementation of its choices.

In addition to Paatil, senior officers of a number of ministries attended the assembly, they added. India has already knowledgeable Pakistan of its resolution to maintain the treaty in abeyance with quick impact, saying that the neighbouring nation has breached its circumstances by concentrating on Jammu and Kashmir with sustained cross-border terrorism.
