131 folks had been killed in a crush at an Indonesian soccer stadium on Saturday, when 1000’s of followers rushed on to the pitch after the house staff misplaced a sport at Kanjuruhan stadium in Malang, East Java.
Police responded by firing tear fuel.
Devi Athok’s two daughters and their mom had been killed within the crush, one of many worst disasters in soccer historical past. Talking to the BBC, he and others described what they noticed occur that night time.
Authorities on Monday launched an investigation – following allegations of heavy-handed policing, and public anger has escalated.
