Iran on Tuesday strongly condemned new sanctions imposed by the European Union and Britain and mentioned it might retaliate, after the West stepped up stress on Iran over its crackdown on protests.
“The Islamic Republic will quickly announce the listing of recent sanctions in opposition to the human rights violators of EU and England,” Iran’s Overseas Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani mentioned in an announcement.
