Beirut:
An Israeli strike on southern Lebanon killed a senior Hezbollah commander on Tuesday, the Iran-backed militant group stated.
It named the commander as Sami Abdallah, alias Abu Taleb, born in 1969, in an announcement reporting his dying “with nice satisfaction and nice honour”.
A Lebanese army supply stated the commander was “crucial in Hezbollah to be killed to this point for the reason that begin of the warfare” between Israel and Palestinian militant group Hamas in Gaza, which has fuelled violence on the Lebanese border.
The supply stated the strike hit the city of Jouaiyya, 15 kilometres (9 miles) from the Israeli border, and likewise killed three different individuals.
Exchanges of fireside throughout the border between Hezbollah and Israeli forces have intensified over current days.
Clashes across the border have killed a minimum of 458 individuals in Lebanon, in line with an AFP rely.
Israeli authorities say a minimum of 15 Israeli troopers have been killed in that combating.
Tens of 1000’s of individuals have been displaced.
