The Jabalpur airport in Madhya Pradesh obtained a bomb risk which turned out to be a hoax after a search of the premises, an official stated on Monday.
The officers of the airport, positioned at Dumna in Jabalpur, knowledgeable that an e mail threatening to explode the power was obtained on Sunday, following which the premises was evacuated and an investigation launched, Further Superintendent of Police Suryakant Sharma stated.
“In the course of the investigation, it was discovered that the mail was despatched to 40 to 41 locations concurrently. It appears probably the work of some miscreant,” he stated.
Instantly after getting the data, Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS), canine squad, native police together with the Central Industrial Safety Drive began a search operation.
“However no such (suspicious) factor was discovered. After this, the flights have been operated on time,” the official stated.
All safety measures have been taken on the airport and the state of affairs is regular now, he stated.
Sharma stated the duty of discovering the unidentified wrongdoer has been assigned to the cyber cell.
