“Avatar: The Manner of Water” filmmaker James Cameron had sharp phrases for streamers on Tuesday and stated he’s “bored with sitting” round streaming movies following the success of his newest film on the field workplace.
Cameron, earlier than Tuesday’s Golden Globe Awards, instructed Selection that he thinks of the movie’s success on the field workplace as linked to audiences returning to theaters following the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We’re saying as a society, ‘We’d like this. We have to go to film theaters and have that have.’ Sufficient with the streaming already. I’m bored with sitting on my ass.”
The filmmaker, who now has directed three of the seven highest-grossing movies of all time, has beforehand stated that his roughly $350 to $460 million “Avatar” sequel needed to be the third or fourth highest-grossing movie ever made with a purpose to break even.
“We’ve begun a franchise at this level,” Cameron stated.
“We’ve begun a saga that may now play out over a number of movies.”
