A longtime DJ was shot and killed in Denver whereas working as a safety guard at a strip membership.
Jason Perry, 46, died on the scene when he was shot within the 200 block of South Federal Boulevard on Tuesday evening, in response to the Denver Workplace of the Medical Examiner.
“He was a DJ and he doubled as a safety guard,” stated Mary Dann McNamee, Perry’s aunt who lives in California.
Perry was working safety at Dandy Dan’s Gentleman’s Membership on Tuesday.
Perry loved his DJ work as a result of it allowed him to entertain a big selection of individuals, McNamee stated. Perry went into safety work, partially, so he may assist individuals.
“He’s actually a giant gentleman of service,” McNamee stated. “He preferred creating recollections and being useful to individuals as effectively.”
Perry was working safety the evening he was shot, McNamee stated.
Denver police on Thursday stated no arrest has been made within the ongoing murder investigation.
Perry obtained a safety license on June 14, 2022, with the Million Greenback Corp., in response to metropolis information. He was not licensed to hold a firearm as a part of the job.
