The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Rita, who mentioned she labored as a music contractor, claimed she met Jermaine via Motown Data founder Berry Gordy. She claimed she had a detailed relationship with Gordy due to her husband, Ben Barrett.
“Defendant Jackson compelled himself into Plaintiff’s residence, and with power and violence sexually assaulted Plaintiff,” the lawsuit learn. “In the course of the assault, Plaintiff, a girl of religion prayed to God for assist. In the course of the assault, Plaintiff feared for her life. After the assault and when Defendant Jackson was satiated, he left the residence.”
