Writer Jerry Oppenheimer made claims about John allegedly being blackmailed by a member of his household in his 2015 unauthorized biography, RFK, Jr.: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and the Darkish Aspect of the Dream.
Oppenheimer wrote how John’s good friend, James Ridgway de Szigethy, gave a sworn assertion to a member of Congress in 1993, saying that his pal believed Smith was “more likely to have dedicated the rape.”
De Szigethy stated Kennedy informed him that his cousin’s points have been allegedly identified to the household and “‘they need to have performed one thing about Willie years in the past when he first began doing this,’ which means …. raping girls.”
Smith is the son of the late Jean Kennedy Smith and her husband, Stephen Smith Jr. Jean was considered one of Joseph Kennedy and Rose Kennedy’s 9 youngsters, who included JFK Jr.’s late father, President John F. Kennedy.
Szigethy claimed John confided in him that “when the [Smith] trial befell, he must put in an look within the courtroom. He informed me he didn’t wish to do that, and his mom didn’t need him to, both. I instructed that he not do it since Willie was responsible, however he informed me who was pressuring and why.”
