K Vijay Kumar resigns as security advisor of MHA, cites personal reasons

The 1975-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer was appointed because the senior safety officer of the MHA after his superannuation from service in 2012 because the director normal of the Central Reserve Police Pressure (CRPF).

He served because the advisor to the governor of Jammu and Kashmir earlier than being re-appointed because the senior safety advisor within the MHA in 2019.

Kumar has additionally served because the chief of the Particular Process Pressure (STF), Tamil Nadu, which was tasked with looking down Veerappan, the commissioner of the Chennai Police and the inspector normal of the Border Safety Pressure (BSF) in Kashmir.

Veerappan was killed in 2004 in a meticulously deliberate operation led by Kumar in Tamil Nadu.
