The police on Friday arrested 20 folks within the Rattihalli space of Karnataka’s Haveri district, the house district of Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, for allegedly assaulting 4 RSS employees who had ventured to map out a route for an RSS foot march in Rattihalli.
“A few of those that went to see the procession route had been assaulted. The police have arrested 20 folks on this connection. The federal government will take authorized motion to stamp out such actions,” the Karnataka chief minister mentioned, relating to the assault on the RSS employees.
The employees had been participating in a week-long camp organised in Rattihalli by a Dharwad unit of the RSS. As a part of the camp, a foot march was scheduled for October 14 and 4 employees had been deployed to map out the route, in accordance with the police grievance filed by one of many employees, Chandrappa Hanumanthappa Koragar.
In response to the grievance, the 4 employees had been attacked by a bunch of almost 100 males in a largely minority space whereas they had been surveying the route for the foot march round 11.30 pm on October 11. A case of assault was filed by the Rattihalli police. The native police claimed that it was an unintended incident attributable to an absence of readability on the identification of the victims.
