Kudligi BJP MLA N Y Gopalakrishna on Friday resigned as legislator, forward of the Could 10 Meeting polls in Karnataka, and is prone to be a part of the Congress.
Gopalakrishna met Speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri at his workplace right here and submitted the resignation.

In response to studies, he had lately met senior State Congress leaders D Ok Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah, and held discussions.
Gopalakrishna was earlier with the Congress and had received elected from Molakalmuru Meeting phase in Chitradurga district 4 occasions (1997, 1999, 2004 and 2008).
On not getting the Congress ticket in 2018, he had joined the BJP forward of the elections. The social gathering gave him a ticket from Kudligi in Vijayanagara district as an alternative of Molakalmuru, as senior chief Sriramulu was fielded from there.

Shivakumar stated on Thursday there’s a “lengthy record of individuals” wishing to hitch the Congress and will probably be made identified in phases, within the days to return.
