Karnataka CM Bommai calls for concerted efforts against terrorism | Bengaluru

Within the wake of the Mangaluru autorickshaw blast, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Wednesday mentioned he would write to his counterparts in southern states for concerted and united intelligence sharing to verify terrorism.

“A concerted effort must be made. After I was the Dwelling Minister, I had given a name to all of the DGPs of the southern states (for intelligence sharing). Many individuals commit crime and flee by crossing the state border. Borders are fragile as a result of which individuals from Kerala come right here and vice versa,” Bommai instructed reporters.

Replying to a question on the blast case, he mentioned: “These actions might be managed if all of the south Indian states unite and coordinate for intelligence sharing. I’ll write to all of the chief ministers of southern states.” Blaming the delicate Kerala border as one of many causes behind terror actions in Karnataka, Bommai mentioned, “Getting (terror associated) coaching within the neighbouring states and nations had change into a steady course of.”

Stating that there have been bomb blasts in Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Mumbai prior to now, Bommai mentioned such incidents are underneath verify after Narendra Modi turned the Prime Minister. On November 19, an explosion occurred in a shifting autorickshaw in Mangaluru. The police termed it a terror act and blamed the passenger, who has been recognized as Mohammed Shariq, for the incident.
