For the primary time, folks in Karnataka on Thursday carried out ‘Gopuja’- Cow Puja- in all of the veterinary establishments throughout the state on the Balipadyami day post-Diwali.
‘Gopuja’ was carried out in all of the veterinary establishments of the animal husbandry division, the division’s fields, authorities and personal goshalas, milk producers’ associations and Mujarai temples on the event of Balipadyami day.
Karnataka Minister for Animal Husbandry Prabhu Chavan congratulated all of the veterinary institutes of the animal husbandry division, cattle fields, and personal and authorities Goshalas of the state for the success of the Gopuja program.
“The tradition of worshipping the cow as a mom and god, which was part of the every day actions of the Indian civil heritage, is being continued even at present of the Balipadyami,” Minister Prabhu B Chauhan mentioned.

On behalf of the Karnataka Milk Mahamandal, greater than 14000 milk producers, and cooperative societies of the state participated in Gopuja and created consciousness among the many public about Gopuja and cow conservation.
