Karnataka: Election commission offers sign language assistance to voters | Bengaluru

Karnataka voters with speech and listening to impairments will get signal language help at polling cubicles – in what’s being billed as a ‘first-of-its-kind’ initiative, the state’s chief electoral officer stated on Friday. The BJP-ruled state will vote for a brand new authorities subsequent 12 months.

The CEO, Manoj Kumar, stated, “The Election Fee of India is repeatedly exploring new measures to reinforce accessibility of electoral providers to individuals with disabilities. The letter has requested the voters who want such providers to contact election officers.
