Karnataka Lokayukta searches premises linked to 5 govt officials in ‘disproportionate assets’ cases | Bangalore News

The Karnataka Lokayukta is conducting search operations throughout the state on Tuesday in reference to complaints concerning disproportionate asset circumstances registered in opposition to 5 authorities officers at Lokayukta police stations in Bengaluru, Chitradurga, Chikkaballapur, and Hassan.

The searches are being carried out at a number of places linked to the federal government officers’ residences, office, kin’ homes, and farmhouses, amongst different places.

The 5 accused authorities officers embrace N Venkatesh, Income Officer on the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), Dasarahalli-sub division, Bengaluru; Okay Om Prakash, Senior Assistant Horticulture Director, Bangalore Growth Authority (BDA) head workplace, Bengaluru; Dr Venkatesh, Well being Officer, Hiriyur taluk, Chitradurga; Anjaneya Murthy M, Junior Engineer, Rural Ingesting Water and Sanitation Division, Chikkablapura; and Jayanna R, govt engineer, Nationwide Highways Authority of India (NHAI) division, Hassan.

On July 23, the state Lokayukta performed search operations at 41 places linked to eight authorities officers, together with IAS officer Dr Vasanti Amar B V, in reference to alleged disproportionate asset circumstances registered in Bengaluru, Mysuru, Tumakuru, Kalaburagi, Koppal, and Kodagu.

The police stated they performed searches in 5 locations linked to Dr Vasanti Amar, Particular Deputy Commissioner of Rail Infrastructure Growth Firm Karnataka (Okay-RIDE) Restricted, Bengaluru and recovered property price over Rs 9 crore. This included three websites, 4 homes, three items of agricultural land, Rs 12 lakh price of ornaments, and Rs 90 lakh price of autos, amongst different property, claimed the police.

Venkatarama B, Workplace Assistant (Admin), Mysore Metropolis Company, was discovered to have property price Rs 3.7 crore, stated the police. In Tumkur, searches throughout six places linked to Rajesh M, Assistant Government Engineer, Karnataka Industrial Areas Growth Board (KIADB), revealed property price Rs 3.6 crore.

Searches had been additionally performed in 4 locations in Kalaburgi linked to Sunil Kumar, Government Engineer, Well being and Household Welfare Division, which revealed property price over Rs 4.3 crore, officers stated.
