A 40-year-old man was hacked to dying on Sunday after he confronted his neighbour who misbehaved along with his spouse at Khanapur in Karnataka’s Belagavi district, police stated.
Prashanth Narvekar (35) had harassed Maruti Jadhav’s spouse and was warned by him a number of instances, in accordance with the Khanapur police. Round 11.30pm, when Jadhav once more questioned Narvekar concerning the harassment of his spouse, the latter allegedly hit him with a stick and later stabbed him to dying within the Baher Galli space.
Police stated they’d arrested Narvekar for homicide. Whereas Jadhav was a deposit collector, Narvekar is a driver.
The homicide came about at a time when the federal government and Kannada activists have been getting ready for Tuesday’s grand celebration of the Kannada Rajyotsava, particularly in Belagavi within the Maharashtra-Karnataka area. Police have beefed up safety because the Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti is predicted to look at a black day on the event.
