Karnataka news: Doctors recover 187 coins worth ₹462 from man’s body | Bengaluru

In an odd growth, docs recovered 187 cash from a affected person’s abdomen in Karnataka’s Bagalkot on Sunday after he got here in complaining of stomach discomfort and vomiting. Medical doctors found the cash upon conducting an X-ray examination and an endoscopy on the person, a 58-year-old from Raichur district’s Lingsugur.

The person has been recognized as Dyamappa Harijan. He had swallowed 56 cash of ₹5, 51 of ₹2, and 80 of ₹1, value ₹462 in whole. The cash weighed 1.5 kilograms. Medical doctors attending to the person stated he’s affected by schizophrenia, a psychiatric dysfunction, and had swallowed the cash over a interval of two to a few months.

The surgical procedure to take away the stated cash came about on the Hanagal Shree Kumareshwar Hospital and Analysis Centre in Bagalkot. Harijan had been admitted within the hospital after he complained of abdomen ache on Saturday.

Dr Eshwar Kalaburgi, one of many docs who carried out the surgical procedure, stated, “The abdomen was dilated enormously… a number of cash have been caught in other places of the abdomen. After two hours of surgical procedure, we retrieved all of the cash. Following the operation, he was handled for water deficiency and different minor points. The affected person is steady and is speaking as of now.”
