Karnataka: retired army soldier ran over by truck; ex-CM slams BJP for potholes | Bengaluru

A retired Indian Military soldier from Karnataka’s Mandya district was killed after he was allegedly run over by a truck on Sunday night time. The sufferer, recognized as Kumar, reportedly misplaced management whereas attempting to keep away from a pothole and was mowed down by a truck from behind.

A soldier named Kumar (38), who had lately retired from the military, was travelling on a two-wheeler close to Karimane Gate in Mandya when a lorry ran over him and died when he fell on a roadblock,” Kumaraswamy tweeted.

The JDS chief additionally slammed the federal government and mentioned the ruling BJP doesn’t have a conscience. He additional wrote, “Seeing that outdated father crying in entrance of the mortal stays of his son, who died proper in entrance of his eyes, shocked me. What number of extra mother and father should be orphaned by such potholes? This BJP authorities, which builds a tower of wealth on potholes, has no conscience.”

The previous CM additionally claimed that he had sanctioned ₹50 crore for all roads that come beneath Mandya municipal council when he was a chief minister and alleged that the BJP authorities misused the funds. “After I was chief minister, I had launched ₹50 crore for the event of all of the roads beneath Mandya Municipal Council, together with the street that precipitated the tragic dying of a soldier. Tragically, the BJP authorities that got here to energy after toppling my authorities by way of Operation Kamala, misused the funds,” he added.

The BJP is but to reply to the allegations of Kumaraswamy.
