The trio had allegedly laced the consuming water with pesticides as a part of a conspiracy towards the headmaster of the college, who belongs to a minority religion.
The three accused have been recognized as Sagar Patil, president of the Savadatti taluk unit of Sri Ram Sene, Krishna Madar, and Magangouda Patil.
Bheemashankar S Guled, Superintendent of Police, Belagavi, Saturday stated, “Some college students detected a foul odor (within the water) and knowledgeable the headmaster and one other trainer, which prevented a bigger tragedy. In response to a police officer, Sagar Patil was the mastermind behind the conspiracy. “He (Sagar Patil) wished headmaster Suleman Gorenayak to be transferred or suspended. A smooth drink bottle was discovered close to the water tank, and upon checking, it was discovered to comprise pesticide,” the officer added.
The police stated they later discovered that Madar had given a minor boy candies, condiments, and Rs 500 in lieu of emptying the bottle containing pesticides within the college water tank.
Throughout interrogation, Madar confessed that Sagar Patil had found his relationship with a lady from one other caste, and he had threatened to ‘expose’ him if he didn’t take part in his conspiracy. Madar and Magangouda Patil had allegedly bought the pesticide.

A police officer stated the minor will probably be a prosecution witness and obtain safety from the regulation.
