Karnataka: School girl confronts government official for extra library hours | Bengaluru

Faculty college students in rural Karnataka have requested the state to increase timings of gram panchayat group libraries in a video that has been extensively shared on-line. Within the video, a lady questions an official about extension of timings when he visits a library on Monday.

The woman is seen asking the officer to increase timings to eight hours a day – from the present interval of six hours – and he or she additionally submitted a letter on behalf of her fellow college students.

He additionally commented on the rise the demand for group libraries in villages.

In March Karnataka chief minister Basavaraj Bommai mentioned his authorities would add digital units to gram panchayat libraries. The federal government additionally made it obligatory to maintain copies of the Indian Structure, in addition to key publication and annual reviews of presidency schemes and providers, in all gram panchayat libraries.
