Karnataka signs Letter of Intent with Chile to strengthen innovation, technology ties | India News

In a major step in the direction of fostering worldwide collaboration in science, know-how, and innovation, the Karnataka authorities on Saturday introduced that it has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with the Authorities of Chile through the Innovation Summit held in Bengaluru.

The summit was organised as a part of the official go to of H E Gabriel Boric, President of Chile, and his accompanying high-level delegation to India.

In response to an official assertion, the LoI goals to determine a framework for mutual cooperation between Karnataka and Chile in key areas, together with rising applied sciences, startups, analysis and improvement, data alternate, and talent improvement.

Notably, Chile turns into the primary Latin American nation to accomplice with Karnataka below the International Innovation Alliance (GIA) – a flagship initiative by way of which the Authorities of Karnataka collaborates with over 30 nations to advertise cross-border innovation, analysis, and entrepreneurship, it said.

President Gabriel Boric welcomed the partnership and invited startups and know-how corporations from Karnataka to discover alternatives in Chile, highlighting the colourful innovation ecosystem being constructed there and the nation’s openness to world collaborations.

Talking on the summit, Karnataka IT Minister Priyank Kharge, emphasised the state’s strengths as a worldwide know-how and innovation hub, and famous that this partnership marks the start of deeper collaboration between the ecosystems of Karnataka and Chile.

“Karnataka provides unmatched expertise, thriving startup vitality, and a mature innovation infrastructure. With Chile’s dynamic efforts to construct a robust tech ecosystem, this partnership can unlock thrilling new alternatives for each side,” he mentioned.
