Karnataka authorities has introduced a baseline survey of gender minorities throughout the state for the primary time, and a re-survey of former Devadasi girls in 15 districts.
The surveys shall be carried out to collect correct details about their socio-economic situations and to offer social, financial, and academic rehabilitation, stated a launch issued by the workplace of Ladies and Little one Growth Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar.
The 15 districts are Belagavi, Vijayapura, Bagalkot, Raichur, Koppal, Dharwad, Haveri, Gadag, Kalaburagi, Yadgir, Chitradurga, Davanagere, Shivamogga, Ballari, and Vijayanagara.
Each surveys, being carried out by the Karnataka State Ladies’s Growth Company, shall be launched on September 15 and accomplished inside 45 working days, the discharge issued on Thursday stated.
Preparatory work for conducting the survey has already been accomplished, it stated.
To make the method simpler, the federal government has developed two apps, in addition to launched a helpline (1800 599 2025).
Whereas the survey of gender minorities shall be carried out in any respect taluk authorities hospitals and district authorities hospitals throughout the state, the re-survey of former Devadasi girls shall be carried out on the places of work of the Taluk Little one Growth Venture Officers within the 15 districts, the discharge stated.
The officer-level workers of the Devadasi Rehabilitation Venture Unit will conduct the survey of former Devadasi girls, it stated.
