A tribal man from Karnataka’s Mysuru district who was detained by the forest division on October 10 on the costs of looking a deer and promoting its meat, died Wednesday, police stated.
The relations of Kariyappa, 49, a resident of Hosahalli hamlet in N Beguru panchayat, suspect that he died of torture whereas in custody on the Vary Forest Workplace in N Beguru.
Nonetheless, the forest officers deny the allegations and stated the sufferer was severely unwell and rushed to a hospital two days later. “Now we have detained him on October 10 in reference to the case of looking of deer and promoting its meat. He was not harmed by us. On Wednesday, he complained of uneasiness and was rushed to KR Hospital. He was declared lifeless within the hospital.
